| Lecture Abstract |
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology has developed rapidly since its inception in the 1970’s and has now become a very powerful and important clinical imaging technique in the routine diagnosis of many disease processes and many other preclinical applications. MRI is able to provide images with excellent soft-tissue contrast that can be acquired in any imaging plane and, unlike any other medical imaging modalities such as X-ray or computed tomography (CT), it does not involve the use of ionizing radiation. In this presentation, the MRI technique and system instruction will be introduced. Some latest MRI research and development, challenges and opportunities, especially for the computer aided application and big data, will be talked and discussed as well. |
